Re: Nigel no mates

My home spot (summer vacation destination) 2015 no foil 2016 1 foil on light wind days 2017 5 foils regularly (on average 50 60 tt out at the same time) It is growing exponentially but I'm sure it will never become more popular than the tt (in the locations you can mainly tt with a kite smaller than...

Re: Learning the bridle on my first foil kite

But putting 8 small marks* in your bridle so that you can do a long mixer test when needed is something that will pay dividends. *Either with a marker or by adding a small thread. How far up do you put them? Good idea which I have thought about a few times but never do. As high as possible. Prefera...

Re: Learning the bridle on my first foil kite

Pansh has a fantastic price but misses some details. Most probably it flies OK out of the bag. I recommend that you make some markings now so that you can do a mixer test (or even better a long mixer test) when it gets out of tune (like every kite) This will be needed after many hours of flying. The...

Re: Flysurfer Soul

Great product launch! And looks like a great kite!

I'm glad to see that the long mixer test is considered and supported! :thumb: ozone is a disappointment in that regard

How many knots is that?

I post here because hydrofoilers are the light wind specialists...

I got impressed that a switchblade took off like that...

Team riders that are big names in a discipline you are not practicing for sure cost more...
... And I assume that they don't contribute so much to the developments that mater for you...

Let's say if you never unhook

Re: Foiling - only for frequent riders or occasionals as well?

Downunder this was not a comment about your post specifically, it's the general route the thread got.

So you believe that for the occasional rider it's worth it only if he uses light gear?

Re: Foiling - only for frequent riders or occasionals as well?

From what I read in this thread and also confirmed from my experience : If you are the kind of person that enjoys learning something new, even while not being good at it, it's worth it. After a few (maybe just one) sessions you will be able to go upwind and return where you started. If you are not r...
