Re: Sabfoil 699 vs 799 for kite foil

Thus, I'm assuming 699 neither 799 would be a good replacement for the IC6/850 I've described. Maybe 695 or 590 as I never surf with foil. My goal is cover the largest distance in the shortest time, not necessarily racing if you know what I mean :D . "Fast freeride" would be a good definition ...

Re: GoPro Remote Waterproofing

I had the same issue. I actually ordered another one, but that has the same. I ended up testing if I could wash the port out with fresh water after every session. That worked. So at least both seem to have water resistent USB Ports. After about a year both remotes are still working just fine. -- Gu...

Re: Gopro Hero 11 with Horizon Lock

Hero 10 can do the same, without the Max lens too. And you can still use the Max lens for a wider field of view with horizon lock. 8) Peter Can you provide a link to that information? All I've found is the 10 doesn't do full rotation stabilization without the max lens mod. I had a 10 beforehand.

Gopro Hero 11 with Horizon Lock

I'm pretty impressed with the new horizon lock feature on the hero 11. You don't need the max lens mod (wide angle lens) that you needed with the hero 10. With the larger more squarish sensor, there's enough extra info to completely rotate the image with software. It only works with the linear (smal...

Re: Moved from SAB/Moses Mast to Cedrus Mast

some additional lessons learned. with older setups I learned to use tefgel or white lithium grease on all connections to prevent seizing, exacerbated by dissimilar metals. Kyle recommends using no grease on the stainless steel to stainless steel connections as parts may loosen up. I recently tried t...

Re: Naish Torque 2 + i3 Bar Chicken Loop Weak Bungee

As a heads up, Naish has been replacing Torque 2 bars as some have been found to have premature center line wear in the chicken loop assembly. I had a buddy snap his center line while down in South Padre this November. According to Naish, they've made small improvements to some of the internal parts...

Naish Zero Bar

Naish News: Naish Zero Bar naish 1.png Bar Width: 50 cm Line Lengths: 22 + 2 m The Zero kite bar was created to give the rider the most direct control. To do this we eliminated all the EVA typically found on a control bar and utilized a 3K carbon construction providing the stiffest control system w...

Re: Moses SABfoil

Anyone have a comparison between the legacy 710 fuselage and the replacement 703? What I thought would have been the natural replacement based on nomenclature, the 713, is actually a kite wing fuselage. I've been riding a string fellow superfuse for a while now and been happy with it due to being ab...

Re: Moved from SAB/Moses Mast to Cedrus Mast

Kyle had designed some 3D printed mast fences, with the goal of disrupting the air bubble before it has a chance to make its way down to the wings. https://i.imgur.com/XSAPTT6.jpeg https://i.imgur.com/b04iLb3.jpeg https://i.imgur.com/y9432Kj.jpeg No real clue where on the mast is most effective, but...
