Re: PIQ story ended !

I wonder if people get a refund if their device is still under warranty. Pretty much unlikely if a company goes out of business. Open source would be a great idea! I wouldn't be that sure about it, at least in the EU. I am not a lawyer, so take it with a grain of salt. In the EU the seller is respo...

Re: Mavic mini 2

So it looks that EU will be issuing certificates to drone manufacturers. From what I understand from 2023 all drones above 250g and without a certificate will be banned from flying near people (I think they require at least 50m, but not sure). One doesn't know now if old drones will get those certif...

Even the 9m is a pain to loop as it doesn't recover properly. Probably the best kite for boosting currently on the market, but one of the worst for looping. I think it was Janek that said to not try to loop an XR above 8m.

Re: Mavic mini 2

I'm pretty over drones. It's not that they can't get decent footage, they can, some of the shots are awesome, but you need to coordinate two people to use them and it's a pain in the ass because if you're two kiters, you also now have to be two drone pilots, and you have to be off the water half th...

Re: Mavic mini 2

Sorry Toby, I was actually wondering if someone used it :) That's just a video I found on the internet.

Mavic mini 2

I am considering buying a Mavic Mini 2 drone. It seems to be handling winds quite well, but I am still wondering if there was anybody who used it to film kiting and with what rate of success. Here's some high wind test, but just wondering if someone used it for filming kiters in moderate winds (up t...

Re: Eleveight XS

That is not fine. This used to happen on first SLE kites up to around 2010, when they started making shorter bridles. Either the bridles are super long on this kite or it was underinflated. It might happen from time to time on a super hard crash or in the waves, but not a "couple of times" in a ses...

Re: any reviews on Rebel 2021

I walked out of the water with a big smile but unfortunately it disappeared quickly after packing. The new bags are beautiful and made of strong recycled material with handy straps and ventilation grid but the kites simply do not fit which that is really a worthless and incomprehensible choice from...

Re: common sense/rules of kiting...again

If you see someone floating in the air in front of you, stop or turn around (you have more control on the water)

Re: Eleveight XS

Next, when I fell a couple of times I had a line snag on the wingtip, sending the kite for loops. I thought there are protections against that, but seems like they don't work fully, so I had to yank the lines. Or maybe it's fine for LEI's, my previous ones didn't suffer from that. That is not fine....
