Re: Prince Edward Island in June?

Sorry - I don't know! What I would suggest is that June is still low season, and that if there is mom and pops, they will have availability when you arrive! All the best - enjoy your trip!

Re: Prince Edward Island in June?

June is a great time to come to the Island! You may even get the earliest shorts days, at least in Malpeque Bay, although ocean kiting will still require a full wetsuit. Here is a link to a website that should help you find suitable accommodations. All the best and enjoy your time here! Ken http://w...

Re: An inexpensive wave twin tip for a big guy

Hey GZ22 - Keho Lake in Southern Alberta has a thriving kiting community. Head down there for a great place to meet fellow kiters and find out what strong wind is all about! Here is their local website to get in touch with them. www.highasakite.ca
All the best!

Re: PEI Kiteboarders Where Were You?

We are a pretty small group, especially in the off-season! But you're right, we live in a kiting paradise. Anybody interested in renting a beautiful cottage just 1000 yards from Princetown Point give me a call. Its available as of May 1st.

Re: Kiteboard Tour Asia: Mui Ne's successful completion

The KTA group put on a great event. The crowd lining the beach was all smiles and the final day came through with some of the most punishing conditions I have seen at Mui Ne! Well done! I was really impressed with the efforts put out by the competitors too. These guys and girls are ready for the big...

Warranties don't make good
paddles.
Great point. The other important notion is that stuff doesn't just break. It is subject to fatigue everyday, every jump, every mistake - and should be replaced as a matter of course especially if you take significant risks while you kite.

Re: Speed spots around the globe

Can't comment on the described location except to say that it looks fun! Reminds me of a place at South Padre in Texas that the locals affectionately called 'the ditch'. It was the canal built to take the shrimpers in to harbor, and cut through some hot desert. I was there before kiting existed, but...
