Re: Flysurfer Peak 5 is here

Not sure I agree fully.... Yes maybe one could get it to drift even more when flapping, I dont know. But for me, when not flapping just sheeted in to the point where it doesnt - it still drifts amazing, no comparison to other kites (except for the C.A. Firefly maybe, same type) I dont think I ever ...

Re: Peak 4.5 mod?

Definitely interesting idea. I was looking in way to restore my Peaks original performance, so this is even more interesting!

Re: Not falling On the Blade

Foil colapses under you is from trying to turn by clean roll - heel toes input. Without making yaw first. Just never do that. Until you have not full control just let kite to turn you. I have nasty fall on colapsed foil because nobody told me not to roll.

Re: Not falling On the Blade

Its very easy. Its down on which your foot left board last. This will determine final imput to board. If it is rear one, last input for foils is ride up and towards you. If its front one board goes down and away from you. So learn yourself to bail out in rear front sequence.

Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

Porosity might not equate quite the same. Wouldn’t the main issues with porosity in a CC kite be loss of internal pressure leading to potential shape change while flying and water ingress when crashed where SS don’t have internal pressure except the tip cells and water ingress is already a moot poi...

Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

it is not bar problem i have 70cm travel on bar + 10cm trim which is way more than kite needs - I can heavy back stall and heavy "flutter stall". The position where kite goes to most upwind position in WW is like most depowered position without any flutter i for sure can do it. It is bridal or canop...

Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

Yes i did normal mixer test /and readjust/ and it doesnt help. It was not very off Try to describe the behaviour. If the wing tips fold in you could try to make the B adjuster a bit shorter, if the kite is unresponsive and slow you could make C a bit longer. If the kite back-stalls you can try to m...

Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

It is also possible that performance is lost because fabric porosity. On single skin it should be double as problem as on CC kites.

Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

Maybe we should do collective effort - based on Horst table. There should be usual pattern what happend to bridal and what to adjust to bring performance back. Without full bridal adjustment, which isnt sure to help at the end.
