Re: Build Your Own Bridle Lines

Hmm... ;) Likely I will match them. Still need to play around a bit. Flysurfer told me to copy the other side with the new one for length. You are dealing with an entire bridle system that has changed from factory. This was using new DC60 line from Liros, the maker of the line that FS uses. Thanks....

Re: anti-slip versus pad on a foilboard

Pads lift, tear, and wear out. Peel ply full deck lasts indefinitely.

Build Your Own Bridle Lines

Hey! I need to replace two bridle lines and want to do it myself... I have spools of various strength spectra hollow core fishing line and know my splices... To match an existing bridle line, do you recommend (1) stretching it first before cutting and splicing, or (2) shortening it by 1/4" - 1/8", o...

Re: Kite sizes for LA summer

Santa Monica is not reliable for wind. Belmont Shore, Long Beach is. Check out http://scka.org for and Southern California Kiteboarding Association on facebook for local info. 12M and 15M should be safe and worst case, you can rent a kite from Bart at SoCal Kite Surfing on the beach.

Probably heard too many derogatory (and uninformed) comments from people who have never flown them. Agreed. There is n...

Re: Change AoA of front wing

AlpineFoil include 8 shims with various angles - 4 each for the front and rear wings to fine tune. Think about doing both.

Re: Vacuum pressure for sucking water out of a surfboard?

thx for the suggestions. It seems easier. Per the Board Lady, https://boardlady.com the water will not exit the board by gravity alone. I am assuming you are stating that once you cant see the water coming out if the hole that is good enough and I should just repair it at that time. Eva's focus was...

Re: Peter Lynn introduce the Aero V2

Same issue for all manufacturers now... The kites are not on the Formula Kite approved list and it may be some time before they are.
