Re: Need Help - Solution for surfer that has correction glasses

Are contact lenses an option? If so, get disposables (they're better for your eye health anyway), and take an extra pair or two with you when you kite since you can lose one in a really serious wipeout.

Re: Kiteboarder riding in the NY Harbor on Hurricane Ida

It's a stunt, and the kiting in the harbor is terrible, not to mention dangerous. Nobody who has done it has ever gone back to do it again.

Every few years somebody does it. I think Skatoor may have been the first to do it back in 2000 or so.

Re: kite pants / bugs

Sounds just like the stuff we get at a particular beach here in Brooklyn - elsewhere in the area too, but especially at that beach. Since you're in Jersey, it's probably the same thing. It's definitely a water thing. Sea lice is the closest thing we can figure. They affect people differently, but yo...

Re: inflating without a pump

Why can't you use a pump? If there's some reason a pump is not allowed, I doubt they'd allow pressurized tanks and such.

Seems strange to pump up a balloon and carry that big thing out there to inflate a kite (which would still need a pump to give it any decent pressure).

Re: Richard Branson kiteboarding with a naked model on his back

Makes me wonder. Are Supermodel "attacks" on kiteboaders common? What can I do to prevent from being “attacked”? Is there a lotion that will mask the smell of success and fame? I'd like to know the opposite: What can I do to prevent from promote being “attacked”? Is there a lotion that will mask em...

Re: Anyone lenghtened the pump arm/handle? Easier to your back..

with kitezilla's tip, just remember that you'll be turning a 2-way pump into a 1-way pump, so pumping up the kite will take twice as many strokes. i'd suggest something like what thebroz described. something to raise the whole pump up higher, rather than lengthening the handle/shaft which seems much...

Re: Torn Bicep...

Did the doctor explain how a torn bicep (upper arm) is causing pain in the forearm?

I've heard of back and neck pain being caused by injuries elsewhere, but never in the arm.
