Re: Why shallow water is dangerous

I have grown up with dogs all my life and had a similar attitude towards pitbulls - they have a bad reputation. Then a few months ago I had to dogsit my friend's pit for a few weeks. It turned out the be the sweetest and most affectionate dog, all it wants to do is cuddle and sit on a human's lap. A...

Re: Not quite kite but electrifying fun!

My friend owns one and I've driven it a few times. Amazing torque power and no noise, easy to pull wheelies etc. Quite impressive how far electric engineering has come in the last few years. The only thing my buddy doesn't like is the tyres, they're not quite wide enough to really zip through soft s...

as most countries are doing the same.
Really? Which other country uses military and helicopters to arrest people for leisure activities in COVID-restricted areas?
Israel did the same thing a few months ago

Re: Wave Kiting Right of Ways - still confused

Good question. I have experienced similar confusing situations in Mauritius. Some people claim that because it's harder for windsurfers to catch a wave, they have the right to drop in even if a kiter is in a better position. However, when you then have 10 windsurfers all dropping into sets of 6 wave...

Re: 2018 Pivot bladder repair -- do I need teflon tape

I went through the exact same repair 2 weeks ago. After patching, just pump it up HARD in your living room and leave it overnight and see if it is still rock solid the next day. Mine wasn't so I took it back in the pool to see the bubbles - repair patch was fine but strut connections were losing air...

Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

Thanks for the review Peter. So if I understand correctly, if you consider the 5m's sweet spot from 12-16 knots for your weight, the 6m would bring that down to 10-14 knots, and maybe even rideable on longer lines in the 8/9 knot range? True 10-14 knots instead of 12-16. Dont know about the 8-9 kno...

Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

Would be interested to see a picture of the 4m on top of the 5m on top of the 6m to see how much bigger they are each. Also very interested to hear if the 6 and 4 follow up with a bit of overlap and can then be the perfect combo?

Re: Cape Town is open again

Toby, please stop advertising for a spot that´s already overcrowded. In the past years, it has reached a point where it even becomes dangerous. I am actually hoping that this season it won´t be that packed because a lot of countries have SA on their list of risk areas. Selfish much these days or is...
