Boracay in August

I am thinking about making a stopover in Boracay in early August. What are my chances of getting some wind? I searched the forum and people seem to talk about Jan/Feb being the best. Is there any wind in August? Thanks in advance.

I am jonesing to get a surf-style board and my tax refund is burning a hole in wallet...so I may just go for it.

Naish SS 4'10"

So has anybody tried out the Naish SS 4'10" yet? I would like to get a directional that would fit into my travel bag...and this seems like a good option. People seem to like the 5'4" and 5'10"...but I haven't heard much on the 4'10" yet. I know it is maybe a little small...but I only weigh like 155 ...

Have had good luck getting vacation rentals through vrbo. Check out some on the North Shore: http://www.vrbo.com/vacation-rentals/usa/hawaii/oahu/north-shore. No hotels in Oahu except in Honolulu...must get B&B's or vac rentals. PM me if you want some personal recs. Wind is not as reliable but might...

My friends and I all took malarone with no problems. Got a little woosy if you didn't take it with food. Bug nets are key in Kenya.
