Re: Tug Hill Snow Kite Rally 2012: Come one Come All

Hello everyone, the countdown is on! Parking: Last year, the hottest sites had parking on the sides of the street. We roll deep, and their will be a TON of cars. As far as the roads are concerned, they throw salt down like it's going out of style. If we get slammed with a big storm like we did last ...

Re: Questions about Getting Started Snow Kitting

Welcome to the forum! I am in North East New York and started last winter. My recommendation for you is to contact Brian Ready at Kite Culture: http://www.kite-culture.com/ He is very informative and helpful. I would have taken a lesson from him last year, but he is too away for me. This is not the ...

Re: Attn: Northeast Snowkiters....please read

I haven't attended the event she put on, but I have heard nothing but great things about it and her. Best of luck Rachel! Living on the other side of Lake Champlain, I have found that the Tug Hill event Martin Luther King weekend(Jan 14-16) is fantastic! Their is chatter of big sponsors coming in th...

Re: Hatteras checking out he Epic 3G kites

Very cool photo! My favorite kite is the 10M LTD, though I haven't tried the newest version yet... Hatteras looks awesome, and I hope to make my first visit their next season. Such angry comments flying around about Dimitri and Epic. I just don't get it. He isn't starting all these posts, people lik...

Re: Waterproof GPS Tracking Watches

I use a Timex Global Trainer. It's designed for triathletes, so use in the water isn't a big deal(though nothing will hold a fix underwater). It takes a few minutes to acquire a fix, but after that, no problems. I have only kited once with mine, but I wear it on swims all the time. They aren't 700 e...

Re: EpicKites (3rd Generation. 3G kites)

I know this is a thread for the 3G products, but I have to say that Dimitri is still providing awesome support for the 2010 line! I am still blown away at how great they treat their customers. Thanks for everything! If you are in the market for a new kite, this is a brand to check out! Thanks again!...
