Re: Smallest kitefoil pocket board size

Maybe it would be easier find a sticker that could make the bag/cover matching your preferences. :thumb: I don't understand this comment about a sticker? I'm planning on getting a small pocket board and a similar sized small bag for traveling... the small travel bag seems to be the tricky thing to ...

Re: Smallest kitefoil pocket board size

I've seen folks ride on boards barely big enough for their feet, and I've seen folks swear by their 120cm boards. I think we often fail to discuss something even more important than board length and weight, that's board stiffness. Think about it: you could ride a cardboard 60cm board that weighed n...

Re: Pocket kitefoil board travel bag

I've done 12 flights with my setup so far. All the flights without paying for oversized equipment. Sometimes they ask me, to hand it in at oversized, but no additional fee. I've done travelling in Asia and Europe with the kit. I'm using a Tatonka bag. It fits my Levitaz 94 cm board, with extra padd...

Re: Pocket kitefoil board travel bag

I also wondered about this bag but it's a bit thin so won't fit my harness too. And no wheels either. 110cm x 45cm x 15cm

Pocket kitefoil board travel bag

I'm looking for a travel bag suitable for my kitefoil equipment. My pocket foil board will be the biggest thing to fit in the bag at 100cm x 45cm. I don't want to take a bigger 130cm+ kiteboard bag if I can help it. Big suitcases are normally only 80cm to 90cm length, and kiteboard travel bags typic...

Re: Smallest kitefoil pocket board size

Thanks for the replies everyone. So it seems that the general opinion is that a pocket board of 100cm doesn't have many disadvantages compared with a bigger board... but when getting below 90cm there are some disadvantages with touch-downs being less easy to recover from and worse low-end. I think I...

Smallest kitefoil pocket board size

I have a Groove Skate 130cm board and I'm contemplating getting a smaller "pocket" kitefoil board to allow me to fit all my kite gear into a SUP bag for traveling light on flights so I can take my kite gear on work trips. The question is, how small can I go before I start to seriously compromise per...

Re: What is your oldest kite that you still use?

Every so often I like to use my 2007 Naish Raven 8m (7 struts) to remind myself how to kiteloop properly with a kite that loops slowly and only just catches me!

Re: 19m race foilkites vs 18m high aspect foilkites

I expect the low end to be the same (or at least a negligible difference) But without the hassle of the race kite bridles.

Re: Essential Gear for Kiteboarding in Light Winds

My - by far - most essential light wind gear: Flysurfer Peak4 Slingshot UFO The rest is up to personal taste  Or if you want to ride in the very very lightest of winds possible (yes, even lower winds than Flysurfer Peak) you need a large, mid-to-high aspect ratio, ultralight twin-skin foil kit...
