Re: FS Peak5 13m - control bar recommendation

I have two Connect bars, I really like them (but have removed the 5th line/safety) and no issues whatsoever after years of use. Regarding the 13 m2, yes I would probably find a really long bar, as it is a slow dog just like the 11 m2. And agree, double skin kites works so much better when you get ab...

Re: Bar for foiling

True, 15 knots is a 4 m2 Peak for average weights, a 5 is too big. But having depower trim CAN be omitted easily IMO, if you, like many, has a bar for each Peak kite, or set your bridles correctly, because of their short throw. Having it rigged twoline so no depower at all, thats not for me, but int...

Re: New kite gear from Gong

It is always a tricky one.... Gong has top notch foils, excellent in every way and also frontrunners in many aspects. They had issues with their first wings, some had unsufficient stitching - but seems to be solved now (not using these myself, but according to others) Their wingboards are also just ...

Re: FOne Signature 2012 Surfboard Epoxy or Poly ??

I dont know what it is... When painted it can be difficult to find out. BUT, it doesnt matter, use epoxy for repairs (with or without fibreglass) as it sticks well on both polyester and epoxy, is stronger and better in every way. Also, IF the core (most likely not, but a few are) is styrofoam or sim...

Re: Difference Gong HM 85 and 86 masts?

Thanks, I didnt see the measurements.

So I was only partly correct, the 86 is thicker yes but not only at the base, it is 13 % thicker at fuselage and 18 % thicker close to base, than the 85.

That explains, so more draggy but a lot stiffer/stronger and same material.
