I need to have a closer look at the Evan's thing. Is it in the DIY bar thread?
It’s here

Re: Infexion Seatbelt Quick Release

I think both of your suggestions will tend to slip! Also the 1st (with a stopper knot) may block the safety line? A fig 8 might do it. An alternative is to split the depower rope into 2: A) In the rope that goes through the cleat, splice a loop in just below the the cleat. B) In the main part that ...

Re: Infexion Max bar / Seatbelt Quick Release

Just received mine.
How hard is it to remove the Trim strap ring ring and press it back into place?
Seems that would be the easiest way to do it.

Re: Depower rope WTF

I’m with bragnouff - take your favorite bar and get evan’s seatbelt QR to get rid of chickenloop and be able to unspin lines. Then a clamcleat and block and a couple meters of 5mm & you are in business. Easy to duplicate Evan’s attach for front lines and safety line ... - mucking with bars gives me ...

Re: Naish Torque Bar - flag line knot slipped through stopper

This slingshot part might be a good replacement part for you. Its pretty sturdy and it won't deform - so knot should not pull thru.

Re: Naish Torque Bar - flag line knot slipped through stopper

But noo, the designers are too lazy to implement a 8mm hole through the chickenloop. So they are stuck with a bunch of bad fixes to try to get tiny knot to stay blocked under the stopper. If they make the knot any bigger it doesn't pass through the chickenloop anymore, but instead of redesigning th...

Re: making a safety line with a bungee inside - ideas

I am going to try infexion’s use of a thin PU tube with a small loop at the trim cleat to manage it - this seems like a good option to keep the line out of the way. Can you tell me more about this, please? Any photo? I have the Infexion quick release and I love it. I belive the loop mentioned is th...

Re: making a safety line with a bungee inside - ideas

I have reached the same conclusion as OzBungy, bungy insert not worth the trouble, but I have long arms and only a small percentage of my sheeting range is trim, therefore not much sag in the flag line. +1 on ditching the bungee . I am going to try infexion’s use of a thin PU tube with a small loop...

Re: What's your yearly kite budget?

If you have the urge to change/upgrade you are on the wrong/lousy gear. If you don't, you are on the perfect gear, or don't know what you are missing - the latter is to some extent just fine :naughty: 8) Peter Aggh. Peter you are gonna force me to buy that Allula a kite I tried last month- noooo!
