Re: Slingshot UFO V3

I use my 5 m² Ufo V1.1 between 13 and 18 kts, then switch to the 4 m² and when it´s constantly above 22 kts I´d take the 3 m² Ufo. I would like to buy another one for higher winds and wonder if a 4 or 3 sqm would better fit in the 5 & 7 sqm quiver. Do you really need the 4sqm or has the 3sqm enough...

I use my 5 m² Ufo V1.1 between 13 and 18 kts, then switch to the 4 m² and when it´s constantly above 22 kts I´d take the 3 m² Ufo. You´ve been massively overpowered with your 5 m², hence the flapping. I never experience any flapping with my Ufos. The difference in wind range between the 5 and the 4 ...

Re: Ufo v2 quiver help
Out of interest how does the 6m UFO compare low end power/wind range etc. to your 9m Naish Boxer? What was the wind strength?
I´ve had the first version of the Boxer (2019/2020?) in 8 m². The 7 m² Ufo V2 has at least the same low end than the Boxer, if not better. The overall handl...

Re: Ufo v2 quiver help

This "cheap" type of valve (soft PVC material) is wearing out if you leave the plug inside the valve permanently (have the valve closed permanently). With the consequence of small leaking after a couple of weeks / months. It is essential to OPEN this valve after every use to prevent from wearing out...

Re: F-One SK8 750 vs. 650?

I have used an old Moses W633 with 91 cm Moses carbon mast (pre-SAB time) and an Alpine Freeride/Wave 950 with 80 cm carbon mast (the latter still in use). If you like the SK8 or not will depend your personal preferences and how/where you want to ride. I like the SK8 a lot. Mainly for small waves / ...

Re: F-One SK8 750 vs. 650?

I looked at the escape but thought it is somewhat "old fashioned". I wanted to try the "hottest shit" available :D And the new mechanical structure was looking so awsome, I had to buy  You have two parts only, the frontwing and the stabilizer. 5 screws to be fixed in total. No separate fuselage...

Re: Long mast - is it a con?

I´ve been riding 91 / 80 / 95 cm masts. Each with very different foils. I don´t feel any major differences, it is more a question of adjusting to the mast lengths. Longer mast is definitely better for wave riding / crossing large chop. And helps for tight turns / cutbacks to avoid breaching. With a ...

Re: F-One SK8 750 vs. 650?

Hi all, thanks for your comments, very helpful. My weight is 75 kg and I ride a strapless 100 cm board (10 liters volume). As I wrote, I love the SK8 750! I had to buy a 3 m² Ufo to extend my range beyond the 5 & 4 m² Ufos because the SK8 needs silly-low kite pull to get and keep you going like mad....

F-One SK8 750 vs. 650?

Hi, since a couple of weeks I have the f-one SK8 in 750 cm² (for strapless wave kite foiling) and I absolutely love it. However, I start to ask myself if the 650 cm² might be even better suited for my purposes - small wave surfing, tight carves / turns / cut backs on Baltic Sea and North Sea. The 75...
