Ahem. Your enthusiasm is showing through. I don't think SlingShot ever marketed the Fuel as a performance kite. A good, solid, robust, reliable, stable, mid-aspect kite is more accurate.

50 years old. My partner likes sex in the early-mid afternoon and the sea breezes hit in the later afternoon so they come together well. :) Sometimes there is a clash when an early seabreeze comes in and she wants sex. Usually I can get away with cutting the afterglow a little short. If I have had a...

The 16m Crossbow I is a perfectly decent kite provided you add some pulleys to the bridles to reduce the bar pressure. Realistically, unless you are over 100kg there is no need to go to such a big kite for light wind. A 12m SB2 and a good sized, flat board is more than adequate for most light wind d...

.... All kites are dangerous. Its kinda reminds me of the guys that put winter tires and buy 4 wheel drive vehicles, thinking now they can drive as fast as they want regardless of conditions.... But to follow the metaphor through, if you get an all wheel drive car with good tyres and good brakes and ...

I use a 136x47.5cm plyboard with 30cm wide tips and flip tips, and hardly any rocker. The straps are centre mounted and I only have some small fins on the heel side. The fins are not really necessary and I often ride toeside on the finless side. The fins just make landing jumps a little easier. It h...

if i read it correct, i think this kite has a bigger wind-range.... i think bruno mentioned that this 2nd generations uses different length lines for different wind range... .... That doesn't really count. You can use different line lengths to change the range of any kite. It would be good to get t...

Paragliders stopped using shrink around the line ends years ago for exactly the reason that it weakens the line. The problem is not so much sharpness as in cutting but in having a sharp corner where the lines are always bending in the same spot. You can get a similar effect at the end of the sleevin...

Attempt at retrospective Darwin award

As I was winding my lines I looked up to see a guy with a kite trample a child (about 3 years old). It didn't look too good but it didn't look fatal and the mother was not freaking out. I then realised that it was a gumbie beginner kiter (I had seen him on the beach a few times before) who was letti...
