Re: Slowest 6 or 7m kite for freeride?

I have many 7m and I also value stability and hangtime over speed in high wind kites. The wind is very gusty where I live and when I ride a 7m (other than on a foil) it can gusting over 40 knots and it's almost always stormy weather. I have 2 7m now a Boxer for foiling and an Ocean Rodeo Prodigy. Ev...

No Need for a Brummel Splice, just put a standard splice in the line and hand sew it with strong Nylon thread.
Yep I agree I've done a million of those and deconstructed many don by factories it's not necessary for kite lines.

Re: Self landing with high split - preferred way?

Mikel I think your diagram is a 3:1 trim system with a front line flag. To me, the diagram is confusing as it is trying to represent both trim and flag systems at the same time. If the flag line is just connected to a higher V and pulls both front lines that is mini 5th, and not front line flagging...

Re: Self landing with high split - preferred way?

I use a high V bar with my GTS LW 15m (Not a Core bar I hate the twist thing) I never had an issue landing it! I just pull the safety line that goes from the CL ring to the ring on the V same result except you can't reach above the V but your pulling the same line.

Re: Lightwind board advice

I'm more into foiling now but I spent over a decade on ligthwind boards and 17M kites. I still have the original Spleene Door 164x50 something like that will definitively get you going in 9 knots with a 17m probably lower with some skills but it's like riding a picnic table if you want to the absolu...

Re: Need help evaluating my Pin Holes

Not very serious looks like the kite was squeezed too much and the valve cover was not on the valve. The valve poked a hole in the canopy you can put one of those round patch on it or just a drop of glue like Aquaseal or Marine Goop on it and you spread it around to about the size of a quarter with ...

Re: Snowkite powder skis discussion

I do a lot of Snowkiting with skis. For deep powder i use Ninthward Nick Greener they are 145 wide at the tip and 190 long these things are awesome they float on the powder and slush with no efforts and are very stable when going fast. For hard icy crust or ice I use old straight skis the longer the...

Re: Any interest in eeeeee foils?

I am seriously interested in the Waydoo the price is reasonable and it looks like a good design from the reviews I have seen simple to setup reasonable weight and performance. It's winter here in the frozen North so I will wait until the spring to see if they sort out the issues and hopefully there ...

10 minutes for SE to NO.
10 minutes for O to NE
40 minutes for East but it's pretty rare.

And normally 3, 4 hour trips to the Caribbean a year but not so much lately...
