Re: Does Best kiteboarding warranty really work?

I dealt with Best last year and they were pretty good they sent me replacement parts quickly and replaced a kite. But now that they are near bankruptcy things may be different. If you can,t work things out you can get parts from the KiteFix KiteAid or other similar websites etc..

Totally agree with you Windrider it's not for everyone things can go bad very quickly you have to be on the ball at all times and very knowledgeable about what to do! A few kitemare will teach you a lot!

Sad news regardless.

Re: Are old kites/bar systems obsolete?

I used to own waroos I still have a 5M 2008 that I use on the snow in crazy weather (with another bar). They are good kites so no worries. The bar was the weakest link. The safety is fine if you attach to the ring above the strap then it will flag out on an single front line like modern kites. But i...

Re: Best Roca vs TS - which one to choose?

The high end on the Roca is great it's one of those kite that you feel you can push and it never gets scary. I have had my 17 Roca way past 20 knots close to 25 and it is still very civilised. The 12m way past 30 knots and still in a very gentle manner. My 9m TS would often yank me off the board p...

Re: Best Roca vs TS - which one to choose?

They are 2 very different animals. I have owned both and now I am very happy with my Roca quiver. The Roca has a lot more low end and stability the hangtime is insane. The kite bring you down softly it's almost impossible to miss a jump. For Old school it's unbeatable. If you want to do freestyle th...

Re: Zian kites

I demoed one a few years ago a 14M i didn't like it I thought the power delivery was uneven and it was hard to find the sweet spot on the bar while riding. I don't remember what the model was. But it's a very personal choice if you can try before you buy it's always good!

Re: Best Splitboard for a world tour? Nobile Split NHP vs ...

I have the Kite Element Revolt 136 it's not bad. It is very stiff so not as smooth as my Axis limited but most boards aren't. The low end is very good I'm 95kg and it will get me going in very little wind. Assembly is a bit longer than the Nobile you have an extra 5 short screws. The price of 500$ C...

Re: Best control bar

From 2016 onwards pretty much all the companies have adopted the same configuration with a cleat for depower a below the bar swivel and single front line flagging. There's few exceptions Core with their weird twist and F-One who insist in living in the past with no swivel and a mini fifth line that ...

Re: Best bankrupt?

Even after knowing this I still ordered a third Roca (with a huge discount) those kites are awesome. If the bladders can't be repaired there are generic one like Airtime bladders that will work. You can get valves and bladders from most of the kite fixing companies. I have been kiting for a long tim...
