Re: Ice kiting looks fun

I have been ice kiting for a long time but I use skis you have to sharpen them like a knife but don't run over your lines. This video makes it look easy but ice is a hard surface and you don't always fall the perfect way to avoid injuries. I use knee and elbow pads under my suit. It's very hard on s...

Re: Rope Spreader Bar - Tips and Tricks

No many attach the CL directly but the rope will wear the PU tube a bit over time. My Mystic bar came with a ring I have been using it and after hundreds of sessions no wear on the CL. There is all kinds of fancy contraptions you could use but the ring works and the rope is cheap to replace.

Re: How do you desk jockies stay in shape?

You simply have to decide that staying in shape is always going to be a priority in your life. Everybody has limited time. How you fill that time is a choice. You'll stay in shape if it's high enough on your list of priorities. No personal trainers necessary. Great answer that's pretty much how I s...

Re: Twintip Board Size

I'm the same weight as you and I ride a 138 Axis Limited one of the smoothest board ever made in the chop. I think the 138 is a tad big for me I would probably go 136 now. All board are not created equal . Some with a lot of rocker and narrow width need to be bigger. When I twintip I always bring 2...

Re: How would you rank kite manufacturer quality?

Do you mean quality = for how long they last? Kites can be built super strong, bad they became easily heavy. Switch kites and old liquid force (~2012) were heavy but they were also very strong. Thick materials and extra reinforcements. Ozone kites are opposite, they are built light, don't misuse th...

Re: Ocean Rodeo Aluula Flite joints tearing apart

Looks like these kites are more labour intensive than normal material kites? Yes the Aluula material is very hard and very slippery they had to invent a special seam and a special method to make these kites. They are also harder to fix. But the performance is amazing. Looks like this one maybe was ...

Re: High Wind Hydrofoil LEI Kites?

My smaller foiling kite is a 5m Boxer it will work from maybe 12 knots to 30 knots with a larger foil. I tried a rather heavy 3 struts 5M before and it would just fall from from the sky like a rock under 15 knots in the lulls or going downwind in the lighter part of the wind range. The best of both ...

At 77kg I can’t even imagine not owning a 17m or even bigger kite.
Everyone is different.
Hope Ocean Rodeo realizes that someday and comes out with a 19m (or bigger) for people who like power.
Lol.. I'm 80kg and I have a 15M Machine, a 17M Flite and a 22M foil kite.. but I'm crazy..lol..

Unfortunately, it's not a standard :(

I've tried to collect this information here:
