I guess an adapter piece is also needed to fit the mast into the fuselage?
wondering if the alu mast is compatible w/ existing fuselages myself..

Re: Levitaz Cruizer vs Moses Onda

My reference to strapless waterstarts was meant as a direct comparison to the Onda. Which will float on it's side in starting position w/ essentially no technique required.

Re: Levitaz Cruizer vs Moses Onda

My observations: the Levitaz mast has more flex. I felt that the Cruiser wing was more reactive to wave action vs the onda. It's also a heavy rig, water-starting strapless would be difficult vs the floaty Moses. The Levitaz build feels much more substantial/durable.

Re: The Duotone Wing

I watched w/ amusement as someone attempted to use this type of wing a couple weeks ago. It was not successful.
Able to stand, but every time they attempted to use the wing to generate power; it looked like the wing-tip dipped to low & essentially ran over it w/ the board.

Let's not confuse large wings (with lower take-of and stall speeds) with thick wings which are slow and draggy.
I felt the thicker-style large wing got overpowered by the kite easier, as it was incapable of the acceleration/speed.

Re: Hydrofoil mast position in relation to front wing?

All the way back for the initial ride is typical. Ride the board, not the foil = step 1.
You will likely slide it forward an inch or 2 later to find the happy balance point.
Wing size comes in to play as well. Larger is usually placed more rearward.

Re: 2017 Slingshot Turbine in smaller sizes

I've picked up a few of those on closeout myself.
Only had a chance to use the 7m on foil in 15 to 25mph. Initially it was a handful compared to the sst's i i typically use. 2nd round was boosting fun.
I'd say the 7 when it powered felt more like my 9m.
