Re: foil cavitating, ventilating, broaching, solution

As Jyorder Said, you can either get a longer mast (100-110), or a narrower board, but teh narrower board will invite you to edge even more so the problem could also be exacerbated.
I recomend getting a longer mast.

Re: Foilers that switch to TT above 15-16 knots

I generally foil up to 20 knots on an 11mt sonic, they I get of the water, take out my 10mt Soul and enjoy a big air session.
Im 94kg so I can hold my 10 mt up to 30.
For stronger conditions I have an 8mt LEI

I use 30 m lines in 4 to 6 knots of wind.

0,83 mm Liros DCPro.

Sometimes I even use 0,6 mm for the rear lines, has worked till now but a bit afraid it will break, so using 0,83 mm the most.

Where do you get those lines?
Interested for my racing setup :P

Not much of a difference unless you are using a high performance foilkite, with a race hydrofoil and are using short lines (less than 15 mt)

Re: Flysurfer Sonic 3 11m - Best Big Air Flatwater Easily

The battens are the secret sauce. One of the biggest struggles in light wind is pre-inflation of the kite, the battens solve this issue. They also provide much needed stability in light winds. A 21M Sonic3 built with battens would also be a ton more fun than a 21m Soul. Better yet, a 23 since the d...

Re: Flysurfer Sonic 3 11m - Best Big Air Flatwater Easily

My recommendation to Flysurfer is to make a Sonic 3 in 21 and 23m sizes based off the VMG with battens and reduced bridles. The only change they would really need to make is to beef up the bridles. Trust me, these kites would inspire some to give up the hydrofoil in light wind, so much more fun tha...

Re: New hydrofoil / wave kite and bar: Kauper-XT

With 2 unexpected releases by wichard snap shakle on my last deep water foil trip I've almost gave up on this shakle but after last mod with the addition secure I will give it a last try.. I have added a stretch rope that increase needed release force up to ~2-3kg (need to examin) with still easy u...
