Re: Stab shape effects

Really interesting topic! I follow Mister Bennetts on youtube. My key take aways are: Tip design does matter less than we might think. Ha! I saw the same thing yesterday. Of course in proper size waves the amount of glide probably matters less but it could be that even for someone with that level o...

Re: KiteFoil strong wind - recomendation

I have never used a 3 m Peak. I do have a 3 m Concept Air Wave. I weigh about 80 kg and do my foiling mainly in freshwater lakes. I would guess I start using my 3 m in about 22 knots and have never found out what the top end is. Usually the most wind I kite in is 30 to 35 knots and that's not often...

Re: KiteFoil strong wind - recomendation

CA wave means Concept air wave sorry....Canadian brand, there is one second hand to sell in France in 3m2 and you can order a 2.3m2 to Benoit Tremblay in Canada.... Nothing can be compare to these kite to ride safely in 30 to 50 kts! you can launch it alone in the main window up to 40 kts,you will ...

Used to have Soul v1 15m myself after many bad sessions sold it
15m is also really big for a soul. People I know who like their soul use 10m and smaller.

Foilkites are just way lighter and you can feel that for foiling, light wind and when you carry it for snowkiting.

Re: Kite Seat Harnesses

I use a tree climbing harness with a rope bridge. Very comfortable and no torque on the hip, very free feeling and low hook point. There is also a light ozone one without rope bridge called back country which people use for foiling. WTF? Deathtrap for a kook! Haha, while I agree in general when it ...

Re: Kite Seat Harnesses

Looking for some fresh seat harness info. After some backpain looking to get into seat harnesses. Biggest difference between models seems to be the padding. Ion for example has some extra support in sonar and radar, but cheaper echo looks like just a piece of cloth. Is it alot more comfortable to h...

Re: FS Peak5 13m - control bar recommendation

Airwave have a bar that uses the same bar as connect bar, but it comes in 60cm and is on sale for 260 euros in airwaves eshop. I tried the shorter one, it’s good.

But still! As others have said: 8m is the maximum of peak and more peak is not advisable.

Re: Why is wingfoiling so popular?

I haven’t tried wing yet, but want to. The only thing I see as a maybe a downside is the lack of view compared to a kite. How much does the wing in front of you hinder your view? Are wings with windows better and do you get used to it?

Re: Sonic 3 vs 4, side by side?

What I loved about the Soul was its loop You mean the grunt in its loop? I did not spend a lot of time on Soul but that is exactly what I found hard to control and what bothered me for foiling. Of course on twintip that’s fun. Sonic 3 is similar in that sense. When I steer it up for a jump I don’t ...
