Re: Upgrading my Double Agent

You can always drill another pair of holes at 165mm. I have a Moses foil and love it. This was my upgrade from a beginner foil.

Sand your trailing edges

Hopefully someone can learn something from my accident yesterday. I am riding Moses 590/325 wings, and during a long session I crashed and the stabilizer (I think) slashed through my bootie (rubber part) and into the sole of my foot. Ended up with a 5 cm gash, about 0.5cm deep. The wing cut the boot...

Today i tried the seat harness again, no doubt i can hold ALOT more power, its like another world but the major issue for me is the hook position being alot lower then the waist that makes the balance in manouvers complety diferent.
Very true, but you get used to it :)

Re: Riding powered: Seat vs Waist Harness

Pedro I also had back pain with a waist harness hydrofoiling. You may be positioning yourself so that a lot of power comes from your lower back. You can try straightening your back so that the power comes from the legs. The racers are all bending at the waist, so you may be doing the same, except th...

Re: Jumping (and landing) technique

Thanks Mossy, yes I had seen these videos before but I now rewatched them. Adam seems to land flat on his foil. Also he pops just like a twintip, really going upwind hard. I saw a video of one of those airchair foils being pulled by a boat, and that guy went super high just with the spring action of...

Jumping (and landing) technique

I am now working on jumping with the foil. I fly Cab FX kites. Here are my questions - what is the best position to go the highest? I could either lean really hard, and when sending the kite pump the foil, in which case the push from the foil upwards is not maximal. OR I could lean hard upwind to ge...

Re: Any of you hydrofoil freaks doing distance runs?

I wanted to see how much I could cover in 4h. Turns out it is about 70 miles. The ride below is measured at 62 miles but I hit the pause button inadvertently and for 35 minutes nothing was recorded. I was not all that tired at the end, but my legs are hurting 2 days later still. It was a great exper...

I wasn't aware it was enabled automatically. Doesnt that mean the last app will stay going?

The Apple Watch has a feature called Water Lock, which prevents any input from the touch screen. To unlock it you have to roll the crown.

Re: ideal LEI for freeride/race

I'm looking to get a relatively small kite (~9m) as I will only foil with it. Problem with the Soul is that it's sooo expensive. more than twice the cost of an Apollo.
