Topic: X4 recommedation to intermediate kiter?

I have the 12 meter X4. It was an instant hit with me. I found my jumps a bit higher and the kite very predictable. I have flown it in fully powered conditions and it handles very well. It turns fast. I have not tried it yet in really overpowered conditions, but I doubt any kite could match the high...

I am very happy with my 12m X4. It is not at all difficult to fly. I think that Naish and other companies use the Beginner and Pro labels on their kite models as a marketing tool. They market the Boxer as a beginner kite but it is actually a very good all around kite. And the X2, X3, X4 are called p...

What Pierre says above is correct for newer Niash bars that have a swivel just above the adjustment strap. However, if you don't have this swivel and you repeatedly do spins in one direction, you will eventually get your front lines twisting together. When you buy the Spinning Leash upgrade kit, it ...

Topic: Seat harness for back pain?

I have had chronic back pain for many years. However I find that kitesurfing does not agravate it at all. In fact my back usually feels fine even after long sessions and I use a waist harness (Cabrinha impact).
My abs and my forearms sometimes suffer though.

The Oneill evo 4/3 wetsuit is what a lot of us use around here (BC, Canada). It is a top of the line suit with fluid welded seams. Very comfy. On the very cold days I wear a rash guard shirt underneath for added warmth. We usually kite here at Squamish which is a river fed by snow capped mountains a...

I must have taken me 10 to 20 sessions over about a year to learn to stay upwind. I had a big old directional, a Wipika classic 5.0 kite and almost always the wrong winds. It was a struggle. I have also seen guys with wakeboard experience take lessons, be provided the right equipment, and be staying...

Yes kitenb has it right.
Just reach up and grab the plastic leash line and give a quick tug. Your front lines will untwist.

I wrote a kitesurfing glossary a while ago and it is posted on the kitesurfingschool website. I believe that it has been translated into some other languages also. http://www.kitesurfingschool.org/glossary.htm Incidentally, it is free to copy and post on any website, but the copy on the kitesurfings...

The Naish spinning leash is what I prefer too. I bought the UDS and tried it a few times but never really got used to it. But the spinning leash was an instant success with me and with everyone I know who got it.
