This is what I use with my Cabrinha setup. It is a 60mm long carbine clip.
I ground the flat on it with an angle grinder and rounded off the edges to avoid wear. Cost me about $3.

Looking for an electric pump, small enough and cheap enough to bring a few down to Brazil. I know NOTHING about electric pumps. Any ideas? info? Thanks If you are going to pump up a lot of kites, a portable 12V compressor running off a large car battery might be better. See this thread http://www.k...

The top performing pump is the Scoprega BST12 which has a low pressure turbine to fill the kite quickly to a low pressure, then it switches to a piston compressor and can pump to over 11 psi. There are issues with durability and reliability as you can see on this thread. It uses a 7AH 12V battery. T...

The answer may be in a different bar system.
Don Montague did some experimenting with bent bars in the early days. The idea is that you can both depower and steer if the bar is not straight.

Thia is a crude example. Someone is bound to have tried this type of idea.

People do not read rules. They will just want to copy and paste their review and maybe upload pictur...

One flaw with your board leash design is that you have no way of getting rid or the leash if it is unreeled and your board is stuck in something such as kelp etc. It's important to be able to release the whole leash mechanism. This is also important if you get tumbled into your kite lines. If a lin...

you guys do know NSI makes a perfectly good reel leash right? and it cant cost yah much more than you got in your current set-ups especially with the time factor and that its not working perfectly for yall yet I am hoping this is safer, because it reels out 60 feet of line (if necessary) before the...

It is to do with the way people read reviews Toby. There is so much hype and bullshit associated with reviews that people want to be able to judge the honesty of the review. The points system is useless for that unless it is always filled out by the same honest team who test all the equipment. It se...

thx for the info. is there any tuning tip so the riders of these pulleys can get rid of it, but keep the same performance? The short term improvement would be to increase the diameter of the leader lines. If pulleys were made like this diagram, with an extra ridge as shown in blue, these failures w...

Fly Reel Leash

I am not posting this to recommend using a leash, just to show how I put one together. It is based on the information Kitezilla posted. I used an Ocean rodeo harness and a Masterline Shadow fly fishing reel. I removed the adjust knob for the drag mechanism but left the mechanism in place. I used 3 b...
