Re: Suggestions early Jan

I'm changing jobs and have the opportunity to take a few weeks off between the new start date. Where would you recommend for a single traveller, for a few weeks at the start of Jan? travelling from UK, thanks Luke. Is Costa Rica a good choice? YES!! It's been more than 15 years since I last went th...

Re: Leading edge repair

Always better to stitch it...but I've used tape to repair little cuts like that numerous times and it will work...but stitching is better

Re: Beginning/mid January all inclusive recommendations?

That is the best time of the season for the entire Caribbean ... so go as expensive as you like/want/can.

Maybe St. Martin; Antigua, Puerto Rico.....or even my home spot of the British Virgin Island .

After some suggestions for a 2week trip in Jan/Feb, coming from the UK. I have previously been to Cape Town, which is still a decent option, any other suggestions? Thanks Luke

Re: Wakestyle is dying so fast

Some of it might be just that it is no longer ‘new & cool’ I feel the same about wakestyle as I feel about strapless freestyle, in the beginning it was amazing to see what the top folks could do with their creative buzz and determination. Now, though, it’s just the same old same old with an extra s...

Re: Aluula Kites - for those of you who already have some hands-on experience

I went through few pages of comments, but I didn't notice anyone giving feedback after using OR Aluula kites over longer period of time. I have 2 friends who have Aluulas (Rise 10m and Flight 12m). After a year or year and half Aluula seems pretty dead to me. Coating on the material is totally crac...

Free style vs Free ride vs Wake style etc

Can we all agree that Free ride and Free style mean pretty much the same thing....they are both 'free' after all? And wake style is not an evolved form of freestyle, but it's own discipline like surfboard (strapped or strapless) and foiling. Is Big Air a separate discipline or an evolution of free s...

Re: Learning kite loops

Are you reducing the impact with your knees? Bending down or more like doing a mini squat? I often fail at that and have harder landings. You can see it done really well from the freestyle crew. So true! It boggles the mind that so many people don't squat down to absorb their landings, but rather p...
