Re: Naish Torque bar ends dangerous?

The are the elastic line winders, complete non-issue. The blue plastic tab is on a small bungey and wraps over the black tab. If it does bother you then you could either cut them off, or wrap with some rubber self amalgamating tape around the bar ends: (wrap it over the floats width ways) https://ww...

Re: Size of quiver

Hi Kehler - Great purchase, you will love them. I'm just back from a freestyle session on my 11m 2019 Torch and it's brilliant, so much better than the Dash unhooked. The pop and slack from the Torch is sublime, I just can't get that feeling from the Dash. To get the best unhooked pop on the Dash yo...

Re: Chafing / bruises from binding - recommendations?

this looks good. Do you know if it works with other footpads or requires their footpad ?
The footstraps fit pther pads, I use them on Shinn pads. I used to get similar abrasions from the fopotstrap, the SP straps are really good and you can loosen them enough to get 5mm, Size 12, booties in winter.

Re: Chafing / bruises from binding - recommendations?

I highly recommend SP Kiteboarding footstraps, the Pro TRS (68 Euros) are nice and soft, and grip the foot very well.

Re: flysurfer soul 15m ?

Nice photo! How would the 15m be on a 50cm Naish bar with 24m lines ? Bit slow in guessing.

Re: flysurfer soul 15m ?

I'm guessing the Sonic 3 beats the Soul for pure height and hangtime ? There were some posts on Kiteforum a while back where a few riders were getting around 16 to 17m on a 15m Soul, if true that's impressive heights.

flysurfer soul 15m ?

How come you don't hear much about the 15m Soul as a light wind kite for twin tip riders and light wind freestyle (10 to 16mph) ?

Has it been overshadowed by the release of the Sonic 3 15m ? Looks like it would make a great summer kite for the lighter day UK winds.

Re: Size of quiver

Hi Kehler - I have never flown the 2017 or 2018 Torch, these were bad years for the Torch, everyone that owned a 2017/18 said they were very poor low end. The 2019 has great low end, just like my old 2016 Torch, I can't fault it. Unhooked it's the perfect kite, sits there stable as and never backsta...

Re: Size of quiver

Mr Kehler... we need a chat  If I have this correct and you are asking about the best ever unhooked freestyle C kite :thumb: then definitely 9, 11 and 14m. The 11m and 14m Torch's are very different, at 66kg the 14m would be perfect unhooked from 11/12mph to 20mph, the 11m comes alive from 18m...
