I like the uninterupted wave that my board throws up without the fins on. I also like doing huge board slides while downlooping the kite. You can position the board about any way you like it during a board slide if you don't have fins.

I have been riding a 132 Underground FLX without fins. I did not tape over the holes and no water comes through the holes. I love how it rides. It is so easy to slide the board around on the water. It is loose and landing powered up tricks is more difficult. I think it is a good option on moderate -...

If you were a bit heavier, I would recommend 20, 12, 9. However, at your weight the 16, 12, 9 should be a good setup.

Shameless plug - I am selling my 16M Waroo for $750, because I have a 20, 12, 9. I don't really need the 16, so I am selling.

I recommend 3 Waroo's to cover 95% of the rideable wind range 20, 12, 9. I am selling my 16 because I find that there is so much overlap between the 20 and the 16.

Best is taking over my local riding spot. 50% of the kites are Best Waroo's. We have a few Ozone Instincts as well.

I live in an inland location where the wind is very gusty. I predict the bow style kites will take over quickly.

I agree with Jbrickner. Go to Hood River and get some lessons. It will save a lot of hassle and may prevent serious injury.

The Silver Arrow 17 will fly in the 4-5 mph, still not enough to move on the water, but it will get you going on the snow. I would be curious to do a head to head test between the Contra 17 and the Silver Arrow. I know that the Silver Arrow has more bottom end than a Waroo 20. As far as doing beach ...

Have you tried flagging it out using the PSS ? Yes, it works okay, but the kite still generates a fair amount of pull. I went out this morning on the Waroo 20M. The wind was blowing 12 - 20 with spiky gusts to 25. I could have ridden a 16M with my glide, but I prefer riding a shorter board. The War...

Q: how good is the SilverArrow fabric at shedding water? The standard Speed 17m will dry out relatively quickly but it does tend to absorb more wetness than typical LEI fabric. Also: if you have the time, can you do a sticky-sand test? Get the SA wet and lay it on some sand, shake it off and see if...

afak there will be an update-kit for the SPEEDs available to integrate the FDS from the PULSE.

So you'll be able to flag out the kite with way less pull than you have when you engage the normal safety.
Ferdinand,

How soon will it be available?
