My friend got neck cut by kite lines when someone crashed kite at him in Greece. Cuts were nasty but luckily not life threatening. So it is not a joke to crash kite on people riding.

For op - also you try keep the distance to other kiters. As distance is your best insurance.

Do not overthink it, I don't. Just go to the nest and start pulling loops of lines out from another loops.
