Re: ISO chicken loop

^^ All sorts including infexion, but the older Jeely and the older Epic do not require any disassembly to thread in a new 5mm centre line. Not seen any other traditional style chickenloops for sale for quite a while that are suitable for 5mm line, other than the Kiteattitude already suggested. The K...

Re: Too big for a small board?

Imho Also affected by wind quality. Nice to have a bit of extra width if coping with significant lulls. Easier to maintain speed through the lull and or generally better acceleration after a lull.

^^See No 5 in photo at top of the page. It shows the tool used for this. The sleeve is sitting on a spigot machined into the backend of the Arbor which is pushed through the loop point first. Tool might be difficult to source and so maybe have to turn one from a wooden dowel or similar.

Re: Help me jump higher Evo DLAB 10m

Before altering the pressure you think you have make sure you have a true 7psi to judge. That means a lot of strokes at 7psi to the point where you can hold a tad over 7psi and no more air will go in and you can't complete a pump stroke . PS could be because my impressions are based on a single unca...

Thanks for the reply funalex. It lovely to see yours and the other guys work. Makes me wish I had a workshop! Haven't played with a C-quad for ages must drag it out from the bottom of the shed?

Re: Stalling 10m Evo 2021

Lots of interesting points to sift through and so much depends on riding style and conditions. I would just add for the novice that kite size can also be a big influence. Backstall on a small kite is, arguably, far more usable because small kites recover so quickly. Once you stall a big kite it can ...

Re: High Pressure kite by Bruno Legaignoux

Hi funalex, I loved your 2006 prototype, bit of a Cquad with depower/AOA control bridle. However, I would have some expection towards the kite being a real handful at it's top end because of the following: A. Wind picks up CE moves aft. B. Kite hunts the edge of the window. C. Insufficient drag to p...

Re: Stalling 10m Evo 2021

^^ The last two posts seem, to me, to be assuming the kite bridle is properly tuned. More likely with newer kites but not a given. Arguably, if you don't want to rely on build QA you would be better off buying a kite with unknotted rear pigs with just a nominal setting dimension and then tune the ki...

Re: Futures finbox replacement

I've used glassbubbles in the epoxy to reduce weight if there is a big gap to fill. The bubbles are tiny, looks more like icing sugar, than a bag of light bulbs!
Chandeliery or ebay.

Re: Stalling 10m Evo 2021

The trim/stall question is well covered in the above 2 posts. I will just list a few general random thoughts that may be useful background. Kite trimmed too near backstall: Kite feels sluggish. Sheeting sweet spot a long way out. Rear slack point hard to reach - have to hold bar in one hand and rota...
