Scklandl, Thanks for the reply. They carry West System at the Ace Hardware. They may even have one of those double tubed, single use things. Not sure if it's 404 though. Maybe I can get Dave, the windsurfer, to go halfsies. His skeg can't be looking too good. :D. Bullshit, the top link you sent is g...

Gorilla Glue is what I'll go with first. I bet it will work great.
Believe it or not, there aren't many surf shops in Northern Michigan.
Thanks for the affordable solution!

Thanks Nab1000. So I'll jigsaw the split open a little more. Fill it up. Then sand it smooth. Is there a coat to put over the filler? Do you think this will weaken the board substantially? It was also suggested to me that I just fill the gash with Crazy Glue and clamp the sh*t out of it. It sounds e...

I could really use some advice from the forum. A couple of days ago, my board and I got separated in some 4-6 footers. A windsurfing buddy came to lend a hand and inadvertently mached right into my board. His skeg put an inch deep gash through the top skin, carbon fiber, durasurf bottom, and outer r...

Thomas, Thanks for the video. It showed a ton about the kite's power, speed through the window, and turning speed. Often vids focus too much on just the rider, or just the kite. Two days ago, I was stuck on the beach because my 9m is being replaced. Two brothers showed up on 8m Havocs in 25-32 kts, ...

I think Klimber hit the nail on the head.
My SLE doesn't fully luff, so I have been pretty juiced with a lot of depower + bar eased out. Plus, my steering is aweful in this mode.
The situation Rick put together is when a 5th line is so perfect; IMHO it is the safest system for this scenario.

The Assault has substantial bar pressure for sure. I have an Assault and an Assault 2, 9m and 16m. I actually have been flying my M-80 in steadier breeze.
The Havoc doesn't have pullies. My 12m got delivered yesterday. Stoked!
