Is purchasing a surfboard a good way to recover... ?

Ok I'm 43, weigh 88kgs and 6'5 tall so a bit of a thin lanky sort of bloke. I ride a twin tip with 7 and 10 RPM kites and a 12 Blade trigger for the lighter winds. I do the basic stuff :boost, kiteloop, kiteloop backloop, rolls and basic transitions. Trouble is pain is becoming a more frequent featu...

Re: Who is still stoked after years of kiting?

After 10 years I still cannot get enough of this mental sport, COMPLETELY addicted. Went out the other day in horizontal pissing rain, the kite resembled a paddling pool on the beach rather than a kite but I still had a banging session. Being able to be part of such an adrenaline filled past time is...

Re: old designs can be so much fun....

Was out on my 07 15m Slingshot Link yesterday. Had a great time, it's a big 9 strut monster that takes a while to pump up and is not exactly fast, but I was jumping and looping all over the place. It's worth virtually nothing 2nd hand now so not worth getting rid of. The interesting thing to me is t...

Re: A thread for wave_rider to recieve abuse

Wind rider is a troll that goes by the name of Steve McLean. He was banned by the UK forum for being a twat, he's got a thing about kids, so you might want to ban him now.

Gaastra Kites - Pure and Hatch

Hi , just wondered if anyone's had any experience with these kites? In particularly the newer 2012/13/14 models. I cannot seem to find many reviews on these and just wondered how they compared with the more well known brands. For instance is the Pure similar to the RPM or C4 / Vegas? and likewise wi...

Re: Something unusual has happened.

Same here, spend my winter week-ends mostly farming In my case didn´t think it is fair to drag my 2 yo kid & mother to the beach during the low season. Fair or feasible Didn´t miss kite much, it has been fun to see the cock beat the kid ass when he messes around too much with the chickens – valuabl...

Re: SlingShot 212 RPM 10M Trailing edge!

Yes i am sorry i tryed to upload from iphone but didnt work There you go.. Not having a huge amount of luck with that kite are you! I normally inflate my rpm to around 8-9 psi, I think it would be difficult to blow the LE like that through pumping alone, I wonder if there was already a scuff on the...

Re: Curious about this....

No corrosion, sand, grit, other. I launch on a shingle beach, swivel spins perfectly, just weird that after a number of same direction rotations it stops untwisting the lines... Just wondered why...

Curious about this....

Probably a tedious post, but I am curious about why after a while the centrelines start to twist up with a swivel. I use a compstick bar and the swivel spins perfectly without any issue and I always ensure it is kept that way. However when I go out on the water the swivel spins fine to start with ta...
