Re: New manufacturer for European customers: RLboards variofoil first impressions

I tried today 90cm mast for the first time. Conditions were very sketchy, +100% gusts. Not nearly as forgiving. It makes the foil lot more alive. Waterstarts and turns are a lot more difficult. So I am very happy I bought also the short mast. it is +lighter +makes keeping the angle to the foilboard ...

Re: Not having much fun Learning to Foil

I have 60 and 90cm mast. From my perspective there is really no need for 90cm before you can do turns. Training is just much more effective with the shorter mast. However I foil in lake conditions so our biggest chop is usually around 30-40 cm. Of course I could get more upwind if I had longer mast....

Re: First session - horrendous

Tips from another noob: 1) Learn to control the board with wake session - If you or your friend has a boat this will help a LOT. in 1-2 sessions you will learn how to control the foil. 2) Take same size kite that you would use with light wind twintip. - I personally need quite a lot of wind to make ...

Re: New manufacturer for European customers: RLboards variofoil first impressions

Report about the board: I was out today with 60cm mast and lightwind front wing. Conditions were typical to our lake 6m/s and gusts up to 10 m/s. I was out with 11m sonic fr foil kite. Pros: Very easy to get your feet on the board because of neutral bouancy. When you get too high and front wing brea...

Re: New manufacturer for European customers: RLboards variofoil first impressions

I got today the new board (free of charge). It looks very nice. Measures 149x47cm. weights 4100 strapless and with 3 stap configuration 4500grams. Total weight with 60cm mast and light wind wing is 7.9 kg. The board is very stiff and feels like it is ready to take beating if needed. It looks great t...

Re: My progression, some help needed please

He means that you put something between the stabilizer wing and the fuselage. So that its angle of attack changes. Some boards have different usually plastic peaces that you can switch (for example alpine foil) http://www.kiteforum.com/download/file.php?id=75293&t=1 Delta hydrofoil has made a video ...

Re: My progression, some help needed please

I am in no way good enough to tell you what to do. But for me it works to try to keep the back foot straight from the knee. This shifts the balance more to front quite naturally. This is the opposite to TT riding where you keep the front foot straight. Of course this is relative, little flex is alwa...

New manufacturer for European customers: RLboards variofoil first impressions

Review RLBOARDS variofoil I decided to buy RLboards variofoil. I couldn't find much info of it but the design looked ok. I had heard lot of good things about their twintips before. So what do you get? Price is about the lowest of the market. Their biggest reseller kitesyndikat.de sells it complete w...

Re: The Pansh A15, an A18 review

I broke my kite with first water session. Kite detached from bridles in gust. Most of it was because of poor lines. Some briddle connection broke also from kite side. I send email for them, so far no real answer. I hope they will fix this the right way. I will keep you informed! I used standard 5 li...

Re: The Pansh A15, an A18 review

Ordered 12m version, with 25m lines, no bar (have peter lynn Navigator 4 line bar for this). Very light weight. Weight on website is 15m version. My 12m including bag and bridles was 2500gr. It is between FS speed 4 lotus (2300gr) and FS speed 5 (2700gr). Seems to be build ok. Stichwork is definitel...
