Re: Which bar for petite person / shorter arms

From my expierence while teaching and renting to loads of different people. I'd say to get a North click bar with the small chicken loop set up. Hook it up to the person who will use it and then set the stopper ball at maximum arms reach. If you know you know the rider will not move the stopper ball...

Re: Joint Statement from GKA and KRU regarding the Freestyle World Tour

very sad for all the young freestylers who were training to be on tour, and the guys that were already involved in it. Seems like there is no official reason why published yet, but that's most probably going to be another 2 years before we have any decent tour up and running. Just by the time i thou...

Re: North Click Bar extension lines work on north quad control?

Works perfectly , done it many times with my wife’s 2017 5x22m bar as well in light winds and no problems at all.

So glad North made the pigtails removable in 2017 and later so you can add extensions.
Plus the splices are stronger than the pre-2017 sleeved line ends.

Re: problem Northmono 15 meters backstalling

Click bar is the way to go if you like to experiment with settings ! I used to make frankenstein bars myself but i've not ridden those since i got my click bar. Specially for foiling it's just so comfortable, massive depower plus not having to change the riding position to trim the kite and the line...

Re: problem Northmono 15 meters backstalling

Hendrik VdP , I'm still curious about how would my North kites behave with the high V or Y . Even though I have lengthened the steering lines does not mean the kite respond the way it was designed ? am I wrong ? with the North click bar did you try your Dice with the low V and ride it this way to c...

Re: problem Northmono 15 meters backstalling

The problem comes from your bar....... North kites are designed to fly on bars with the Y splitpoint up. You are trying to fly in on a Ozone bar with the V down. It's basic math, even though all the lines are the same lenght on the 0 point ( if they are properly trimmed ). A line that goes first up,...

Re: Surfing with a Kite Hydrofoil

Hi Hendrik, The Top speed I have gotten on Th Go Foil with a kite (ReoV4) is about 22 knots. Which is more than fast enough for a foil like this. At the moment I use the Go Foil "Kai" the most when SUPfoiling. If the waves are really small, the Takuma is a bit easier to get flying. For Kiting my qu...

Re: Surfing with a Kite Hydrofoil

Hi Gunnar, Very interesting to see that you use SUP and surf foils like the Takuma and the Gofoil for lessons. I think you're probably one of the first to do it but see a future in this for sure as it will make everything way safer. Taught a couple of friends to foil on the Cabrinha 2016 Double agen...

Re: Sri lanka july august

I think i can give some good information , but i'll put a disclaimer right away that i'm biased as i currently manage the kite center in Srilankakite :) Sri Lanka is slowly getting developed for kiting and there is loads of it still generally undiscovered. The wind has a massive venturi effect betwe...
