Re: Best Kiteboarding Kite Lines and bar are garbage

For whatever it's worth I believe all companies have production problems and/or defective items at times. I also bought an '08 Best bar and lines recently. After just a few sessions the lines were fraying at numerous areas just adjacent the to sleave stitching. I contacted the online store and sent ...

Re: Waroos Weak?

A couple of comments for my 2-cents worth. First, have you really tried your 15m Waroo in the same conditions - it should move faster and generate almost as much power?! Sometimes it's just the fine-tuning of the kite that makes the difference. Second, it seems that once kites get over about 14-15m ...

Re: Old farth beginner looking for advise

Hey Vojteck: You mean "OLD FART"!! But don't worry you're NOT too old!!! I'm 69, started kiting at 64 after windsurfing since there was just the "Windsurfer" board (since late 1970s). Just follow all the advice above - take lessons, preferably mostly on the water, go through the body dragging, board...

Re: GOVENATOR STRIKES AGAIN!

I'll try not to make this rant too long! The Governor is a corrupt idiot like most recent politicos. California is as BK as the entire country - living on debt and borrowed money. Most knowledgeable people believe this is all a "bluff" to attack proposition 13 which limits the property taxes on resi...

Re: EXTRA KNOT for more POWER on 2008 ECLIPSE KITES

Please, someone comment on the line connection points/knots at the bar rear line leaders - they have 3 knots under the neoprene covers, and also on the connection points/knots on the bar front line leaders - 3 knots - and front lines where they connect to the kite - 2 knots on that end of the front ...

Re: kite beach spots around Orange County, California

Raoul: The comments above are good. As Francis says the winds are generally from 12-16 MPH (10-15 KNOTS). If you rent in coastal Huntington Beach you will be within a reasonable drive to the better wind spots of Huntington, Sunset and Seal for you, and Belmont for your girl friend. The traffic in So...

Hi Dano the Great (and you are VERY photogenic!)- I am just about to begin riding a Fuse. Curious about which fins and size you change to in larger surf? And when you said that in Kauai you switched fin/strap to other end did you mean just turn around the straps or did you actually put the larger fi...

Hey Peter and Blowhard: I would appreciate some info - I have a Slingshot Fuse - very similar to Peter's pictures - and just about to start using it. I assume you guys are leaving the beach with the surf end of the board in front, and then sliding around prior to hitting the wave - so the surf end i...
