1. Optimize performance for size w/o worrying about wind range as much. I carry a 4 kite quiver (17m, 12m, 10m, 7m).

2. Make kite as large as it needs to be for really light wind (<10mph), can relaunch, and stay in the air duing lulls (like current cloud).

Good thing about Lanes is, "sketchy launch equals crowd control". Loved kiting there. Mostly really good kiters and surf.

I fly 4 kites (12m Screamer) from three different brands when not in waves. I'll prefer the Screamer over all of them. I will likely get one in a smaller size in the next year.
