Re: Let's talk team riders! Who, why, what

Ruben Lenten endorsed Slingshot pumps a few years back; his name was on them, very cool. The endorsement made me want to buy the pump, but it turned out to be just the same crummy short pump that everyone sells. In the future I'll be more skeptical of endorsements.

Re: want to upgrade from my 2009 Rev 2

I love my Rev's. Too bad Slingshot does not make anything comparable any more. I guess I won't spend several thousand dollars with Slingshot this year updating my kites. Maybe I will just buy some new pulleys and lines. Oh well, sorry Slingshot.

Re: kite pumps

Attention, all you manufacturers out there:

Someone needs to make a really good long action, easy moving, long lasting, aluminum shaft pump. Think of all the kite shops happy to sell it. Think of all the kiters who would pay at least $100.

Re: One pump system - rubber hoses

If you are going to purchase some bulk rubber hose, please consider using SILICONE hose. It will last forever and not get gummy in the heat. I had a 20 year old section in my garage which was still as soft as ever. When I used that up, I got some more on Ebay. McMasters has it also.

Re: Valve delaminations....a statistical comparison...help!

I have been doing kite repairs in the area for a few years so I have seen my share of valve delaminations. As you will find from this survey, the problem is not specific to any brand since the PE bladder material and stock valves are basically the same across all brands. When I get a partially separ...

Re: Bladder probs

5200 does not work as well as Aquaseal. Follow the instructions listed in the earlier post.

Re: where do the go from here

I love the REV series. Fast, tight turning, low bar pressure, thin bladder tubes, super easy relaunch, huge depower, never falls out of the sky. These are not "Park and Ride" kites...you need to move them around to generate power. The only down side is dealing with the pulley maintenance; no big dea...

Re: New Orleans march 18-28

www.cat5kiteboarding.com is up to date. Drop us an email and we will let you know what's happening. I have been riding mostly 9m and 11m REV's during the last few weeks. I suggest checking Ikitesurf.com or Sailflow.com a few days before you pack to see what the breeze will do, then pack whatever is ...

Re: Who has a sketchy launch area?

This is the worst of the New Orleans launch areas, but rumor has it the Corps of Engineers is ready to add more rock to our "better" launch.
