Re: One-design board!

The size issue comes out in the olymic dingy classes also. Fin sailers are all big guys. They usualy have a light and heavy sailer dingy. I don't think there are any archaic kiteboard designs from 60 years ago that larger people (myself included) could ride competatively around a race course. In re...

Re: One-design board!

In order for it to be true One Design every one would have to use the same kite, same bar set up and same board. At this point I wouldn't think the sport is big enough to support a OD class and it would also kill board development.

Re: North Evo 2010

Evo's tend to be a January release so I would imagine we'll start seeing stuff in a couple of month.

Unless of course they change when they release it - would be nice if they where out at the end of November for the season down here.

Re: 3 kite quiver for husband and wife? Which?

My partner and I have always shared a quiver but we've always done it with 4 kites - 3's probably do able but I find 4 more comfortable as we're not arguing over a kite (which happens to be our 10m). At the moment we're sharing a 14m, 12m, 10m, and 9m (we're a little heavier than you). As for which ...

Re: Balsa core

If you can get it and you want to use a wood core I'd go Cedar - has one of the best strength to weight ratios going.

Re: North Kites and Bars

Can we get a picture of the new bar / chickenloop - Please pretty please Dan I was in having a chat with "he who shall not be named" trying to figure out when I can get my hands on a new Rebel (OK 2 or 3 - going on a kite trip end of Aug) and they were touting the changes to the bar, Iron Heart and ...
