Re: BRM bar

Now that I have had my double shot morning coffee. Three ideas.come to mind: 1. On the centre rope with the pin release, you could attach a stopper ball / bead to grab onto. This would allow you to grab at least one of the ropes more easily. Do not put anything on the rope with the ring that attache...

Re: BRM bar

I'm using 3mm rope but for foil kite use. I don't think I'd use it for my inflatable kites and big air.

Not to be provocative, I have no problem grabbing the 3mm rope.

Re: Kite/Megalooping 9m vs 10m

Same weight. 10m for 20-30 knot looping 8m for over 30 knots.

I won't weigh into the best kite debate though. Anyone of those models would work. Use lines no longer than 22m

Re: Aluula ? New Revolutionary Material from Ocean Rodeo

I actually think that the KIte Wing will take off - just from the financial side of things. Who can afford this kiteboarding crap... Is that why local kite scenes worldwide are looking more and more like the scenes in the 80s movie cocoon? Yes. Lol. That new duotone advert featuring the 50 year old...

Re: BRM bar

Lol. Add a trim strap?

Never had a problem grabbing the centre ropes and tugging them, even if the kite is overhead at 12pm and I'm trying to relieve some pressure to swivel my snapshackle.

Keep at it or ditch the gloves

Advice needed for new foil board

Hey foilers. A friend is going to make me a custom foil board out of carbon. I already have the Moses T40 and I'm keen for a pocket board. Keen to hear people's recommendations on size, thickness etc. My details: 85 kgs Freeride foiling Bay conditions, small chop. Moses 683 wing Looking for somethin...

Re: Cabrinha PU mainline depower tube

This thread has morphed from the original Q. I would say very hard for sand to get in and pretty easy to check the condition of the lines inside but make sure you attach a temporary feeder line so that when you pull the existing line through one end to inspect, you can pull it back in again the othe...

Re: possible to change Cabrinha recoil to clamceat

Oh and by the way, the trim and recoil might not be the same overall length which could then mismatch your fixed steering line lengths. Cabrinha are a PIA how they don't have an adjustable steering line dyneema rope section. If so, you'd need to either compensate with the trim all the time or max ou...

Re: possible to change Cabrinha recoil to clamceat

Probably not relevant for you cause you sound like you're a school: A bit of effort but you could eleminate the trim altogether. You'd probably need some new rope and safety line spliced to the new length. I've built a bunch of non trim bars now mostly for use on foil kites. Without the trim system ...

Re: Flysurfer Soul

With 25m lines it's probably slower than a typical 15m lei. I flew it with 17m lines for most of the time I've owned it and that made it comparable to a 13m.

Turn speed isn't really much of an issue IMHO opinion when cruising around on a foil but important when doing tricks on a twin tip.
