Hi all, I saw a review in a recent issue of one of the Kitesurf magazines, I think it was an American publication. The review in question absolutely 'cained ' the RRD supertype as being slow, and amongst other things of poor jumping/ hangtime ability. I am a fairly advanced rider, and I have investe...

Hi there! the glue I use is commonly known as 'Superglue'. It's manufactured in the UK by a company called Locktite, but I'm sure that you can get it anywhere in the world, but possibly under a different name. For very small holes and splits I use the glue on it's own, just a little each side of the...

Hi!

Not sure if this is the right thing to do or not, but I always put a small amount of Superglue over the hole, just to seal it.

I've done this on anything up to 4cm splits, and it seems to do the trick!!

Good point !

Perhaps the paint is expensive !!!!

Here in the UK an 8m X2 will set you back about £ 680.00 and a Supertype in the same size will be £ 850.00. Just wondered how they justified the price difference ??

Hi all !

Can anybody offer me any advice on which 8m kite to go for.

The supertype is approx 20% more expensive than the X2, is this due to the quality?

Need to decide today, so any info would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers!

Hi All !

Do any of you guys have experience of the above in either 8m or 12m.

How do they compare performance wise?

Any info would be appreciated!

Cheers,

Hi Royce!

As I have said before, i'm really impressed with the performance of the supertypes!!!

I'm thinking of replacing my 2001 type 4 8.9 with a supertype 8 and my Mach 1 18.1 with a 19, how do the smaller ST's perform, are they like stunt kites??

Could this not be related to the same problem that I had, where the kite would stall because the front lines are to long?

I have tried shortening the front lines as Royce suggested and it does seem to fly much further forward in the window and no longer stalls in light wind.
