Do you ever accidentally peel the carbon off the board doing this? And I'm assuming you can't do it with peel ply and a vac bag? How would you get super clean edges then?

My Chrono has the free ride lines on it. I already broke a set of them, which in turn snapped the bridle. I'd love to try some proper "race" lines but I'm a bit vary of them. I got some Marlow 1.6mm race lines in bulk that I'll splice into a line set. Have you switched between normal and thin lines ...

The R1 is kevlar. My Chrono from December 2014 is spectra.

Chrono yellow line is Eldrid something or other that you can't buy at retail. The best replacement I found was . 558mm/"100 lb" 16 strand Spectra fishing line in white. The colored fishing line is often woven first before coloring and then you can't splice it.

Yeah, without real wind instrumentation the angles are pretty useless. You should still try racing Johhnn! You'll learn far more about racing by racing. Even if you come last you'll learn. I'm towards the back of out fleet, but there are four or five of use who are always battling and it's great fun.

Yeah, I think he didn't want to move the box just to try out his new foil so he did that. Seems to be fast. He beat me in that race, but that's not saying much.
