Re: Which kitesurfing base is best in El Gouna?

This center is furthest north and as therefore you have nothing limiting your riding u...

Re: Large kite with big wind range

At your weight you will surely need a 11-12 m kite to complement the 17-19m kite your planning on.

Re: 2013 Ocean Rodeo Mako King pictures

I would go for the Mako King. If yoi dont like it should be easy enough to sell it because it is very hard to find one second hand. TomW - I do remember that DIY-mako, it is very nice indeed, hat of to the craftmenship. So you went with the 17 core xr2. Should give you ALL lowend you could possibly ...

Re: 2013 Ocean Rodeo Mako King pictures

Ohh yeah, the Mako King is a fantastic board. I´ve had the old Original Mako (150x34) and if there was one thing to change about the Mako King is it would be nice if it had the same concave as the original mako. The Original Mako had 18 mm concave BUT the board was just 34 cm wide, so that means tha...

Re: Anyone tried the lagoons on Fuerteventura?

Are we talking about the same "La Pared"? We took a drive down ther and getting safely across the mountain pass down to La Pared was at least 30-45 min driving. Then the conditions!! O myyyy, horrific waves, breaking all over the place. For my limited skills of waves if was a big NOOOO, NOOO to go o...

Re: 2013 Blade Fat Lady

We have LOTS of light wind days = 10kts and under. I have a 2012 Turbine that i love except for below the bar depower. I'm amazed at the no love for the below bar depower. I first used this on Ocean Rodeo kites and always though it was pretty easy. I have had more issues with the various above bar ...

Re: first kite to 52Kg.

I would also consider the Switch Element 11m and 7m as a combo for her. Stupid easy relaunch, very low bar pressure (which many low weight riders find possitive), very good quality, nice "Allround, do it all kite" and a very competitive price.

Re: Warning: if you try sliding hook you will never go back.

I´ve been riding the dynabar-way for many years now and will not go back to a fixed hook. I bought mine the V3-freeride version and it has served me well. Though now i find myself on the DIY-race-version and love it. Only reason for not buying a Dynabar is that I had an old spreader bar that I could...
