Re: Resin infusion for a CF pocket board

First time board builder. Yes, I am aware it would be much easier to not do infusion on my first board :nono: I've vacuumed a couple layers of 210gr 3k CF on the hull and the deck. Now looking to do a couple of 12k layers top and bottom. Top is to be finished off with cork. I was thinking 2 x 12k l...

Re: Carbon vs Wood made boards

Hi,

I have both, popcorn and beer ready for tonight. Let the games begin.

I made this one around 2015 for my girlfriend. Carbon TT's give you a totally different ride, if the shaper knows what he is doing.

Re: 3D Printing Advices

Hi, I have one of the very very first CR-10's available. Single lead screw. I use a PI as print server and octoprint as printing shell. Do yourself the favour not to print with a windows machine. As a slicer I use S3D which is not cheap software. Cura is opensource, means free for use. https://www.y...

Re: Wichard Snap Shackles - why so much $$$?!

Hi, quick price check in Germany, the shackles is 44€ something, plus shipping. By the way, I am kitesurfing since ~ 2000 something. In these days there was nothing serious on the market when it comes to safety. The only thing we had was this one on the picture. This design is the only thing !!!!! b...

Re: DIY Thick surf foil wings

Hi, This is more or less a Corona based project. It is a far bigger wing for my canard type foil, thinner profile. More or less it is a full week printing and the printer is in my apartment. It feels like you have a guest at home breathing and making strange noises 24/7 I print mockups to pull molds...

Re: revolutionary twintip board

Looks like a carbon twin tip to me.. two sides, two pads, 4 fins.. Any details? Am I missing a point? Hi, it is a board made with resin infusion. The first one's have been made around 2004, so nothing new here. On this particular board the bottom is made out of 0/90°, I hope for the owner there is ...

Re: Foilmaker on Windows 10 installation problem?

Please accept my heartfelt condolences for this decision.
Win10 is not an OS, it's a plague.

Have a look into this link https://fix4dll.com/mfc71_dll

Very good possible that this will solve your problem

tks

Re: Levitaz foil broken mast needs help.

I thought Levitaz foil is full carbon very solid and indestructible but not this time . Very disappointed. The wing is perfectly okay but the head neck just broken by itself. Still less than 24 months under warranty, but they ve done nothing about this. Hi, nothing in the world is indestructible. W...

Re: Polishing PVA release agent?

I'm not great at spraying PVA release agents. There are always some imperfections. But its very water soluble. Has anyone tried just dampening it and trying to smooth it a bit? Maybe mist it a bit with a spray bottle, then use a lint free cloth? Hi, PVA can not be polished. But you can spray it glo...
