Re: The best weather forecast site?

I use WindAlert... I think they may only be stateside though. One of our local riders is a meteorologist for them. They have 4 local wind stations here in Chucktown, for real time conditions and forecasts. They have others up and down the east coast.

Go somewhere where there isnt anyone nearby especially downwind and practice working the kite in the different parts of the wind window. Th...

Re: Lessons. Lisah's post got me thinking. How many took'm

I wear orange shorts from time to time (go Tigers...lol), but I've definitely never been drug down the beach. I'll be sure to wear another color if I head up your way. How old is this person? I've really only seen one totally sketchy guy on Folly and he was berated off the beach pretty quickly by th...

Re: Lessons. Lisah's post got me thinking. How many took'm

I took lessons with my 15 yr old son 5 years ago. The lessons got me the basics of understanding the wind window etc.. and safety. It was really the advice from local riders here in charleston that got me up and riding. Now, I pay it forward... when I see a new kiter, if I see something that can be...

Re: Drone Kite Surfing Waves at Folly Beach

The employees were not to happy with us, there was glass and other debris everywhere, half the parking lot was gone and all the decks were dest...

A couple years ago there was a sand bar in front of the LH. smooth kickers between the LH and sandbar. I never really got to the park side since it was closed from Irene. Next go...
