Out East, 08 bars are available with 07 iron hearts - the best combination in my view; (08 has a better stopper). I'm holding off buying an 08 bar until they sort out the viscious hook lock inside the iron heart and the lack of a swivel. The 07 bar is fine and I have had no issues with it, (aside fr...

Just managed to get out on my new rebel 12m. Light wind performance slightly better than 07 - was shifting when a couple of 11m bows were wallowing anyway. I dont know if I imagined it but it seemed to have a tendency to want to turn down towards the water all the time in lighter wind, which was a b...

I agree - I had a Rebel 07 12m which was great for light winds as it was so light and could be effectively sined to get up and going. I changed it for a sonic 07 14m, but the sonic is so beefed up due to previous build issues, it was too heavy, so was reluctant to give the consistent pull for gettin...

Do North use low quality rope? Both the main and stopper ropes wore through after a dozen or so sessions. I replaced the main with some good quality rope from a chandler, and it is wearing at half the rate.

such a great mag. I even enjoy browsing the ads, which really come to life in the online format. The pages have always loaded within a couple of seconds for me on our bargain basement broadband line, so I think it is a shame the definition has decreased - It is quite noticable on my 16" screen. The ...

I'm curious about Little Palm; There doesn't seem to be much launch area on google earth (the slipway to the north of the boat-yard I guess?)

I may be wrong but I dont think it is allowed to kitesurf on lake Annecy - I have certainly never seen it. Who cares - beautiful town and so much else to do - paragliding, climbing, hiking etc etc. However, it is permitted on lac du Bourget, just south of Aix-lesBains centre near the swimming pools;...

I never kite without gloves; - once had to self land and secure my rebel in a sudden squall, and there is no way I could have worked my way to the kite along the 5th line unless I had gloves. Also, with a wrap round a finger, there might be a chance of hoiking the hand out of the glove before losing...

Seeing that pic in Fuerte with the leading edge down into wind, I do hope the new Rebel doesn't need that stoopid rigmarole for relaunching after it has been put onto the 5th line.
