Re: Kite Companies You listen!

If the kite has big wingtip battens, I prefer the dump valve in the middle. No battens I don't care. Let me explain. . When rolling from one end to the other on a larger kite it is likely to get some misalignment as you're rolling, none of the edges on the kite are straight so you have no real refe...

Re: Kite Companies You listen!

Yo cool guy James Vegas so funny always someone starts hating on a post. I live where you dream on going on vacation I kite like 320 days a year, so I kite more than you in strong side shore wind. Having a kite I can roll up straight down one way will be a benefit for me in my kite lasting, less sa...

Re: Kite Companies You listen!

I fully agree with you Jbrook, the deflation valve at the end makes it sooooooo easy to pack the kite, you do it all at once without having to change sides, it is a no brainer to realise it is easier. All you have to remember is to grab the hard end of the two battens together before folding the kit...

Re: Amazing Vegas 2013 12m2

I 'd say it is a bit heavier compared to last year's. But then I have only ridden it once in - mostly - light wind.

Re: Flysurfer speed 12m vs 15m for low end?

Haven't tried the 12. My 15 standard edition gets going from 8 knots. Once it gets going, it can be fun as well (jumps, rotations, spins etc.). Best wind for it for my taste is 10-12 knots. Above that I pump my Vegas  , even though the FS can be ok up to 20+ knots. :bye:

Amazing Vegas 2013 12m2

I am a Vegas fan for a few years now, but I was very dissapointed by the Vegas 12 of 2012. Having tried the Vegas 12 of 2013 in a rather bad day with very variable wind (from 8 to 18 knots), I must say it felt like the best kite I 've ever ridden. Constant power through lulls, very easy to get going...

"Κι εγώ που τόσο επόθησα μια μέρα να ταφώ σε κάποια θάλασσα βαθειά, στις μακρινές Ινδίες θα 'χω ένα θάνατο κοινό και θλιβερό πολύ και μια κηδεία σαν των πολλών ανθρώπων τις κηδείες" Last verse of a Greek poem by our emblematic poet of the sea, Nikos Kavvadias. It talks about an employee of a ship c...

Re: Kitesurfing in Crete - North side

Not the best time for wind but you should have a few good days and I remember quite a few kiteable beaches near Heraklion. Bring your wetsuit, the summer is away for the winter and will come back next May. 8) Join the Greek kiteforum and ask the question there, you should have replies from guys kiti...
