mmm I am 70 and if your surfboard is your lightwind board then rather have a smaller less draggy kite. I was also toying with the idea of my bigger kite being the helix 12m but think now that the cult 12 was the right choice. For me the cult 12 is good 12-25 and the 7.5 should be good 18 - upwards ....

The CULT is fantastic bought a 12m and only used for one session BUT it is great. Bar is incredibly light and the range of movement is incredible. Love the ability to use depower on the smart loop - those of us under 5'10" with shorter arms. First time using the stopper as well - works really well w...

Hai, I think is helpful to clearly distinguish between GPS runs on one hand and records according to WSSRC standards on the other hand. I see most of the top riders being quite aware of the difference (c:E I see where you are coming from a fixed start and finish would slow you up some and the gps w...

Dont get me wrong I have self landed (on remote beaches) but if kiters are around I always get them to catch. I have used wind shadows as well - behind a big beach hut in Portugal. Haven't tried the anchor thing but will probably give it a go. Looks foolproof (as long as you have a good anchor)

Re: What wave board?

I'm looking for a waveboard given the following: -72kg rider -medium strength wind -UK south coast waves so can be quite choppy (but also more defined waves on holiday eg Cabarete/Mauritius) That is the same as me weight etc - and I am in Glasgow. I went for custom quad from Florida http://www.dcbo...

I had airush Halo's - I would aim the kite down to the side of the window I want it to land then when it is half a span of the ground I yank the top line really hard to throw it nose first into the ground then leg it (slight loop to windward to clear lines) to grab the kite before it takes off. If i...
