Yeah my wipika bar slips when doing a deadman and depowers the kite when I need it to stay powered most. It goes from a deadman to pelican man (head first into the water..arghhh) real fast.

How positive is the locking at any position. With the wipika system with the balck pu tube I find I need to keep some pressure twiting the bar to keep it locked in a position. This is nice because I can depower really easy by just relaxing the twist in a gust, but if I try to do a no handed jump it ...

The safety release strap between the two levers didn't work so well for ...

At fist I didn't like it because I was not used to it and didn't have it tuned correctly for the right amount of friction. But once I got it set I grew to really like over the past 6-8 months and now fly with only the pu covered depower loop and no fixed harness line with no reverse launch bridles ....

Does this bar have a auto-lock feature like the 2001 wipikas with the pu tubing? It is hard to see from the pictures. I think I saw somewhere that feature would be avialible on the 2002 wipika bars.
