New Moses 645/425 race set up

I would enjoy hearing any feedback or reviews. Curious as to the difference in riding feel between this and it’s predecessor 637/420 which I find to be a great high performance race/freestyle set up. Thanks!

Re: Hydrofoil Big Air

This jump wasn’t super high but gives you a feel for landing and riding off. In this clip I did a down loop at the end. It was blowing around 17-20 mph and my highest jump that day was low 40’s I think. Not super freak material but not bad for an old guy. Hopefully this helps the gent who was asking...

Re: Hydrofoil Big Air

Jumping on the foil is so addictive. I use Edge’s (9 & 11m) on 25M lines. And a Flysurfer Soul 12M for light wind on 17m lines. I have a SYNC board and Moses 637 on a 101. No different than going big on a tt, I go out on as big a kite as I can handle I.e. super powered. I fly the kite exactly like I...

Re: Storm Voyager

It is indeed far from the Ozone Edge. I have the 13m. It is very responsive and quick turning for a larger kite. It turns way faster than my 11 m Edge for example. It does jump nicely with good float. But is definitely a freestyle/freeride kite. Lots of fun to fly and you can’t beat the price/value.

Broke my beloved 637 yesterday on a launch near the end of a robust boosting session. Wonderful Moses already has a replacement en route! Great support.

Chuck- Glad to hear you are back in the water and glad to hear Moses treated you right on that!

Re: Storm Voyager

I have one session on the new 2019 V13 (13M single strut). Rode it in 8-11 knots with a Moses 637. I weigh 205 pounds. The kite feels light and nimble for a 13M. Very direct bar feel. Rides fast and great upwind; however not quite like an Ozone Edge. Jumps nicely with good float/hang time. Overall, ...

Re: Kurtis Goggles

Chuck- I just bought the RX version that has photo chromatic lenses(they get darker or lighter depending upon the outside light situation). In Texas we often get windy weather with cloud cover but there is still a glare on the water if that makes sense. The RX version is around $400. Again, worth it...

Re: Kurtis Goggles

Mossy- it has to do with the lenses. The Typhoons have the Zeiss lenses. Zeiss is a premium lense manufacturer for eyeglasses and cameras (like the Ferrari for lenses). I am sure the LIP reps can articulate the difference if you called them. I guess all of us will have to decide if Zeiss is worth an...

Horst- I can only chuckle at how good you are! Normal mortals just don’t do these things. And you sawed off your stabilizer just to make sure no one copies you! You amaze me.
