Re: I'm looking for a killer deal on a new quiver.

Take a look at Switch Kites www.switchkites.com
Prices are unmatched in the kiteworld.

Im loving the element, but it depends on how much of a freestyle kite you want. Its great, but its still not a C when it comes to yank and slack.

Re: switch element vs caution spitfire....can anyone compare

Haha, you guys amuse me. This post was about the performace aspects of the kites but the Switch crew are getting their knickers in a knot about the pricing. Well, from the Switch site itself, the pricing to our country is as follows: 9m Method $655 Bar & lines $275 Total $930 When it gets here, you...

SUP board for kiting - Which features important?

I'd like to get a SUP board to be used inland on flat water. I would like to be able to use it kiting to on light wind days. I realize it wont be about performance, but rather about having some fun on the water when I normally wouldn't be able to... What features are important in a SUP board to be u...

Re: Pumps! Aaargh!!! Does anyone make a good one?

I have worn out several pumps from being impatient and pumping too fast also. As was stated, the aluminum shaft ones wear out faster for me because of my eagerness to get out on the water... At the risk of pimping... Switch's pump is on sale for $11.40 http://switchkites.com/warehouse_comp/index.php...

Re: Learning to Kite

Take lessons from somewhere that uses radio support.

This way they can tell you what you are doing wrong as they watch from the beach.
Without radio support or jetski support, it can take a lot longer.

Re: Life Insurance as a Kiteboarder

thanks for the feedback.

Nothing was mentioned about sailing or any sort of board sport. For that reason, I think I should be safe.

But like you said, I wont be around to argue the point if something happens...

Life Insurance as a Kiteboarder

So I am getting life insurance and they asked me all their questions... One of them was do I participate in Parachuting, Hang gliding, Rock Climbing or Scuba Diving or anything similar to these activities. I said yes to Scuba, but did not mention anything about my kiteboarding. Obviously, I want to ...
