Re: ABC Action News: Billy Parker jumps Reddington Pier

What a bunch of douchebags. You were so stoked about the last pier jump. And you're so stoked about this one and the next one. But just how much more time do you really think is going to pass before some KiteForum reader FAILS in his attempt to stoke you? And when that happens, you can bet we will g...

Re: Cape Hatteras Beaches are being closed to everyone!

I live in a state where they got here over a century ago and now practically the whole coast is off limits for most people. And they have designs on the rest. Study history. There is a right and wrong side, and the regulatory side is wrong. Judging from your earlier post, I'm assuming that you are ...

Re: Cape Hatteras Beaches are being closed to everyone!

Don't make assumptions about the background of anyone that disagrees with you or assume that they are just uninformed. Especially when you are spreading so much disinformation yourself. Either you yourself are terribly uninformed, or you are intentionally misleading people in an effort to bolster su...

Re: Cape Hatteras Beaches are being closed to everyone!

I'm sorry, but paying a fee really isn't such a big deal. Tons of other kiters all over the U.S. have to pay fees to use various parks to access their sites. The fact that the Cape Hatteras National Seashore has been completely free all these years, including the ability to DRIVE ON THE BEACH, is pr...

Re: Polish Kiter missing on Red Sea

Who the hell are all these guys bitching about his backup plan? He was crossing the Red Sea! Not the Atlantic Ocean! Crossing the Red Sea with a boat following would be boring as hell. What would be the point? You'd have to be a major pussy to do something like that and tell anybody about it. Maybe ...

Re: Cape Hatteras Beaches - Sound and Ocean Side - Help

Hard to really get too upset about not being able to drive on the beach. I mean, it was always a blast, but I'm sure you still have fun simply walking to every other beach you've ever been to. Very few that you can drive on, and as fun as that is, maybe it really ISN'T the best thing.

Re: How free is your kitedestination?

Not sure what this has to do with kiting. Except that if you pioneer new kite spots in a place with no press freedom, it may be easier to keep the spots secret.

Re: Real service at Real

Another example of exemplary service from Real. That's the secret weapon that Trip and Matt have used for years to build the Death Star. They have always had a super friendly, super helpful staff. They're such a f*$&ing behemoth of a business in the kiteboarding world that some people want to hate t...
